Gather Around....

Here, I want to provide you with responses of other people besides myself! Below are responses from my friends in my Bible Study, who answered a few questions provided to them in the survey. Some of the responses will include the person's name, other responses will remain anonymous per request of the of person. These answers show what Bible Study and their own walk with God means to them in their school and work life. My goal with sharing this with you is to show how God works in the lives of everyone in different ways and we all have our own journey and our own walk with faith.

How faith and a relationship with God has been important in a school/work life
"My faith in God is the core of why I do what I do. I aim to please God in my school work and work life."

- Ben Estell, student at the University of Michigan

"It has restored my sense of purpose on this Earth. I feel like I was lost and aiming for nothing before coming to Christ. After coming to Christ, my life did a whole 180 degree turn, and I now know what to strive for and how to get there. All glory be to God."

"My relationship with God is my life. It is the single most affecting factor of my life's actions and decisions. Everything I have I have been blessed with, not of my own accord, but by His sacrifice. All of my decisions regarding my school and work life hinge most integrally on this single catalyst."

- Kaila Jenkins, PhD student at the University of Michigan.

"My relationship with God is more important than my school or work life. This keeps me grounded since the good or the bad in school doesn't mean that much at the end of the day."

"It has been a constant source of encouragement, meaning, and guidance through my college and career life."

"My faith is very important because it guides everything I do, and I stick to my faith-based morals over everything. I like the quote, 'spread the Gospel at all times; if necessary, use words,' because this is how I live and function both at work and school. My faith is always there as an underlying source of truth and helps me to make the decisions I do."

- Josh Tucker, student at the University of Michigan

- Drew Sikma, Campus Minister for Collegians For Christ at the University of Michigan.

How Bible Study has been important for others in their own school/work life.
"CFC is great for a variety of reasons. The people in CFC are the best people I've met at Michigan, and are some of my closest friendships. Having those relationships is key to staying close to God during college. Additionally, the study is the Word itself during CFC and small group is very beneficial in fostering and understanding of God and His will."

- Ben Estell, student at The University of Michigan

"It has helped me learn a little more about who God is and what He wants from us while we are here on Earth. I have also met so many amazing people who have helped me grow in my own faith and as a person in general. Last but not least, it has pushed me to seek God more in my own day to day life."
"CFC has been an important tool in my spiritual growth and understanding of the Bible. Not only the tool, but Scripture can be hard to interpret at times, and the interpretation of other diligent studiers can bring to light confusing aspects of the Word. I'm also very appreciative for the fellowship of likeminded believers in the organization."

- Kaila Jenkins, PhD student at The University of Michigan

"I enjoy the community."

"I love being able to help lead CFC. I am personally encouraged by seeing God at work in so many student's lives."

- Drew Sikma, Campus Minister for Collegians For Christ at The University of Michigan

"It helps me to be stronger in my faith and to meet other people who believe the same way I do. I like the community - it's not cliquey, everyone really seems to enjoy each others' company and I look forward to our meetings."

- Josh Tucker, student at The University of Michigan
